Cassandra M. Gandara graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) in 2004 where she obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Business with a concentration in Management Information Systems and a minor in Government and Politics. Cassandra was in the first group of students to complete the University of Texas at Dallas’ Academic Bridge Program. As a student at UTD, she founded and served as president of the Pancho Villa LULAC council for 3 years.

After graduating from UTD, she was accepted to the University of Houston Law Center where she received her Juris Doctor. While at UH Law Center, she was invited to join the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal where she later served as Articles Editor. Her article Post 9/11 Backlash Discrimination in the Workplace-Employers Beware of Potential Double Recovery was chosen for publication in 2007.

Ms. Gandara began practicing law in November of 2007.

Ms. Gandara was born and raised in the Oak Cliff community of Dallas. She is bilingual and has been an active member of LULAC for 9 years. In the wake of 9/11, she joined the Bill of Rights Defense Committee of Greater Dallas to help protect the fundamental rights of all Americans.
